At Addictions Recovery Singapore, we are always looking for compassionate, skilled, and motivated counsellors to join our growing network. We provide discreet, evidence-based addiction recovery support to individuals and families across Singapore. Job Scope

As a freelance addiction counsellor with Addictions Recovery Singapore, you will:

Provide individual addiction counselling sessions in various formats – in-person, online, or home visits.

Support clients struggling with alcohol, drugs, vaping/K-Pods (etomidate), gambling, and other behavioural addictions.

Apply evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness CBT, and relapse prevention strategies.

Work with resistant or reluctant clients, helping them move from denial to motivation for change.

Offer guidance to families on communication, boundaries, and support strategies.

Prepare brief session updates for internal records and, where relevant, for client family members (with consent).

Requirements

We are seeking counsellors who meet the following criteria:

Registered with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or an equivalent recognised professional body.

Experience in addiction treatment and recovery support, preferably in both substance and behavioural addictions.

Proven ability to engage and motivate resistant clients, including adolescents and adults.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis-management skills.

Comfortable providing counselling in different settings – private offices, online platforms, and client homes.

Flexible schedule and ability to work on a freelance, per-session basis.
